Popcorn is a female character in Animatic Battle. She was one of 56 eligible characters able to debut in Object Fool, but failed to do so with only 19 votes. She is currently competing in Animatic Battle with her team, Papaya.

Appearance

Popcorn is a pink and white striped bag of popcorn with a backward-facing pinkish-red cap and black and purple headphones on.

• She is a bag of popcorn with pink and white stripes.
• She also wears a red backward baseball cap, and a pair of headphones, where the headband part is black and the speaker part is purple.

"M Is For Magic" - Onwards

• She is now more refined in art style being more cleaned up than before, she now has dark-colored pink stripes and her popcorn is more darker gold.
• Her hat is also more bright red than before, with the hole where the strap is at being red, and her headphones are more detailed with extra shading and linework. The headphone band is also now overlapping the speakers.

Personality

Popcorn is an energetic character, getting hyped up about her music and people she considers to be cool. She is very good friends with Minidisky. Popcorn is also a music composer, as shown at the start of episode 1.

On Caffeination Day, Popcorn is shown to be very brave by putting others before herself. Right when Animatic was about to kill Shoe, Popcorn stepped in and attempted to hold off Animatic while telling her team to get away to safety as she stayed behind. Risking her own life to keep her fellow teammates safe, knowing that she would be killed doing so, is truly admirable.

Animatic Battle

M Is For Magic

Beginning of the episode:

Popcorn excitedly calls out to Minidisky, who greets her back with a simple, "Hey!" Popcorn then shows them her new disc and tells it that they gotta play it because it's sick. Minidisky excitedly replies, "Aw, sweet! I'm a sucker for tunes!" and starts to play the music. Popcorn's music unexpectedly spawns Specimen 8, which makes Popcorn go, "Wuh oh" Specimen 8 threatens to unleash a bomb, but the two aren't paying attention since they're both focused on Popcorn's new beat. Minidisky nudges Popcorn and tells her that her new beat was a hit, which makes Popcorn gasp in happiness. Season 17 then claims that the noise from Popcorn's disk is harrowing. She kicks the disk out of the music player which makes Popcorn shout, 'MY DISK!" and chase after it.

Then, School ID got ahold of her disk and started to examine it. She was unsure of what the object was, and was about to take a guess until Popcorn interrupted her by shouting, "DISK!?" This catches School ID off guard and causes her to throw the disk in the air. Popcorn gets annoyed by this and says, "Oh come on!" When Popcorn finally catches her disk, Eggnog Jr warns her that the sky is falling. Popcorn runs off to also warn the others. After Danger Sign lied about the sky falling, Rainbow Assortment recommended the death penalty for him. Popcorn chants "Death time!" with the others. Popcorn then celebrates once he gets his punishment.

After Animatic shows up:

During team picking, Popcorn overheard Pancake Batter saying that Shoe could join his team because "he's cool like that." Popcorn exclaims to Minidisky that this team is calling their names, Minidisky calmingly replies that they like when it's name is called. When their team is finally full, Iced Coffee states his happiness for being on a team with a fellow carrot lover. Exclamation Mark comes in to inform them of the Vitamin A toxicity carrots hold, making Printer cry in fear. Shoe comments he doesn't want to be hurt, with Popcorn agreeing, asking Minidisky for a vegetable that doesn't have toxicity. It responds with "Papaya", and the two smile at each other.

Then during challenge time, Popcorn has the idea to scare the M away, which makes Minidisky ask how exactly would they scare it. She tells them to follow her lead, and Minidisky does so which causes Printer to run away in fear. Later, when Red Sticky Hand confronts the team for scaring Printer, Popcorn and the rest of her team quickly stop once Pancake Batter asks if there's another way they could scare the M. Later, Animatic announces that their team is safe, Popcorn and Minidisky celebrate this victory with a dance. Minidisky does a simple arm-waving dance alongside Popcorn breakdancing. Then Red Sticky Hand joins the two.

Caffeination Day

After Popcorn was recovered, she brought up how crazy that experience was. TOMATER asks if she was also killed in the explosion, Popcorn replies with "No, Animatic killed us." TOMATER is confused, unaware of what happened since he's been dead since M Is For Magic. He then informs him about Animatic's murderous rampage.

When Animatic orders his contestants to bring their friends over so they can listen to his "mouth move." Popcorn immediately runs to Minidisky, telling it that she thinks the challenge is about to start. Minidisky asks if Animatic has calmed down yet, and she frantically replies no.

She shows up again during the challenge. and it seemed that off-camera, Team Papaya had found the deceased ⏏️. Shoe talks about the sadness of the sight, saying it makes him think. Popcorn then moves the conversation to some blue stuff stuck on Shoe's back, that he had apparently been carrying since the beginning of the challenge. Shattered Ornament says he has no intentions of scaring anyone, however, that sentence alone made Printer quite frantic, with him finishing his sentence about how he believed it was Animatic tracking them down. Animatic attempts to attack Shoe and Popcorn holds him off, she orders the rest of her team to run away as fast as possible. Minidisky tries to butt in, but Iced Coffee doesn't allow them to talk and help Popcorn, leading the others to get away from Animatic before the rest of them get killed. Exclamation Mark stays behind with Popcorn, he then introduces himself to the camera. Popcorn tells them to escape with the others, as he will be killed if he doesn't. Animatic states that it's time for a delicious gourmet meal, and bites Popcorn's arm. She yelps because of the sudden pain, Animatic finds her arm to taste disgusting and asks her if she's been washing them 56 times a day. She hesitates and answers with she doesn't know, which leads Animatic to mutilate her due to him not liking her answer, claiming that it sucked.

Popcorn shows up again in the post-credits scene, she greets Minidisky, with the nickname, "survivor sandwich." Minidisky greeted her back, excited to see her again. It then asks her if she's alright from the fight with Animatic earlier. Popcorn reassures them that she didn't get hurt at all, stating that Animatic has, "the softest punching paws ever landed." Minidisky asks if what she said is actually true, Popcorn awkwardly nods and changes the subject. Popcorn hands them a grain of salt as a reward for surviving during the challenge, Popcorn says she knows it's useless, but she thinks it's cool since she's the one giving it to them. Minidisky thanks her and eats it, they dislike it due to the bland taste. Popcorn doesn't mind, the two go look for a better one offscreen.

Seeds For Suckers

After Animatic announced the challenge was to "plant a beautiful sunflower," Papaya was the first team on screen. Popcorn emphasizes that "at least this is more laidback than last challenge." Popcorn asks Iced Coffee if they think Exclamation Mark might have any "plant creating abilities" to help them win the challenge. Iced Coffee shouts that Exclamation Mark is still dead. Popcorn turns over to MiniDisky, who tells her that they could probably recover him. Popcorn runs over to the Recovery Microwave, and starts to spam the buttons, she gets more angry as the microwave doesn't work, she then hits the microwave. Minidisky suggests at they could ask Animatic to recover them instead, since Animatic has the power to recover people. Popcorn replies with, "right on M.D!" Popcorn awkwardly asks Animatic if they could recover Exclamation Mark. She sweats, this is shown that she finds Animatic intimidating, most likely due to their fight/Animatic killing her in Caffeination Day. Animatic responds with "nope," She stutters and asks if he's sure. Animatic resists and tells her that they don't really want to recover Exclamation Mark, because of him being their arch-nemesis. Shattered Ornament and Popcorn in union state that their team is screwed without Exclamation Mark. Papaya (besides Iced Coffee) scream and panic. Popcorn stops and states that it isn't over yet, and that they CAN bring Exclamation Mark back, with the "power of friendship." She goes back to spamming the buttons on the Recovery Microwave, this time with more hope. Popcorn keeps repeating the word 'friendship' as she gets more aggressive. The Recovery Microwave explodes, Popcorn responds with "wuh oh." The microwave ends up recovering a different Exclamation Mark. Popcorn, along with her team, are all flabbergasted.

Trivia

• Popcorn also appears as a contestant on her recommender's show, Double Down. It should be noted that the Double Down Popcorn has a slightly different design, with her headphones resting on shoulders, having an oval shape on her body and having eyelashes.
• Popcorn is the only character to be shown with accessories, these being her headphones and her backwards cap.
• During the group shot showing all the teams in "M Is For Magic". Popcorn and Minidisky's mouths are seen combined together to form one mouth. This is a reference to BFDI in which the characters Pencil and Match are seen standing next to each other in various group shots, their mouths are seen connected together, giving the illusion of one mouth.
