Personality

Clay Brick has a weird way of talking, speaking exclusively through non-sequiturs. This makes it hard to understand him at times, which is why people such as School ID are trying to study his way of speech, in order to understand him better. Though, it is implied that Animatic can understand him.

Animatic Battle

In "M is for Magic", Clay Brick is interrogated by Eyepatch about the murder of Printer. He says he's been framed and utters various non-sequiturs (I.e., "This is your captain speaking, we're selling ice cream down near the cockpit!). This somehow leads Eyepatch to the conclusion that Bob-Omb is the perpetrator. He doesn't appear again until after Animatic shows up. He communicates to Animatic, leading to Animatic recovering three dead contestants. During the team picking, Clay Brick is brought to the Danger Sign's team by School ID, who is trying to understand how to communicate with him. During the challenge, his team successfully destroys their M, leading to their safety.

In "Caffeination Day", Clay Brick and his team split up to avoid being killed by Animatic. Clay Brick stays near Animatic, impressing him with his wonderful smile. Further into the challenge, Animatic is having trouble deciding which team to exterminate, to which Clay Brick responds with a reference to BFDIA 1. Animatic is impressed at how much Clay Brick understands him but crushes him with his arm. Luckily for Clay Brick, several of his teammates survived the rampage, letting Clay Brick remain safe from extermination,

In “Seeds for Suckers”, Clay Brick is asked by Eggnog Jr. if he thinks nature is cool. He responds by stating that he loves pizza.
