"Caffeination Day" is the 2nd episode of Animatic Battle and the 11th episode of the overall series. It was released on Thursday, March 7, 2024.
Plot[]
Cold Open[]
Following the previous episode, Silly Straw continues to walk, wondering if they were doomed to strain against his enemies. He thinks about how even though he lacked in many fields, that he tried his best to win. Silly Straw is then suddenly grabbed by an offscreen hand. Oils Paint pulls him back to the grasslands, telling him she could hear his "yapping" from a mile away. Silly Straw tries to talk with her, but is dismissed due to him speaking in mumbles. Oils Paint walks over to Danger Sign, saying that it was "his fault", before walking away. Danger Sign realizes that it was "his fault" telling Slop about the ordeal. Eggnog Jr. asks what he had done, with him being unable to remember what. Danger Sign asks Iced Coffee what he had done, considering their "caffeinated mind" could remember things better. He tells Danger Sign that wasn't how it worked. Danger Sign asks if they were sure, with Iced Coffee not being entirely sure. Danger Sign grabs Iced Coffee, attempting to pull a piece of coffee out of him. After some struggle, he pulls a piece out, but it goes flying directly near Animatic. Animatic eats it, and begins to violently glitch. The two watch in horror as Animatic goes to the Recovery Microwave and recovers Bowling Ball, before brutally rubbing him down to the point where his face and limbs disappear. Danger Sign realizes that this was his fault, before the two are interrupted by Animatic, kickstarting the intro.
Elimination[]
Five hours later, many of the contestants had been brutalized: Dioptase was wrapped tight with Meatball's spaghetti noodles, Silly Straw had been brutally wrapped around Shattered Ornament's body with Buddy Cut Boy being shoved inside of him, and Exclamation Mark had several of Rainbow Assortment's colored pencils stabbed into their eyes, while they express joy over it. Sip-A-Bowl saves Juice Box, who had been shoved inside of Printer's body. Sip asks what happened, with Juice Box explaining that someone thought it had been a good idea to give Animatic caffeine. The entirety of benjamin is wrapped inside of Red Sticky Hand, who hopes that they would not have an elimination. jej, however, pulls out the voting results for AB 1, beginning to tell the long story of how he obtained them. The rest of the team start getting tired expressions as jej goes on about a ball that looked like "Mr. Incredible Becoming Canny". Luckily Season 17 takes the voting results from him for talking too much. Season 17 reads the results himself, but he starts tearing up, turning around the page to reveal Doorframe eliminated with the least votes of 210, as Doorframe whines for his loss. (as Eject is stuffed inside his mouth)
Before Challenge[]
Shifty goes down to free benjamin and all of the other trapped contestants. He takes the colored pencils out of Exclamation Mark's eyes, which hit the Recovery Microwave, recovering the contestants that Animatic had murdered as well as the entirety of Happy Meatbill. TOMATER asks the others if they had also died in the explosion, and Popcorn explains what had happened. The group wonders where Animatic was now. Tea figures that he was on top of the nearby cliff, and Weathery goes to check on him. Weathery is implied to have been killed and immediately recovered after, saying Animatic was a lost cause. Animatic arrives in the area, heavily glitching and twitching. Animatic (now in a menacing tone of voice) tells everyone that the challenge was to SURVIVE, and that the first two teams to be completely annihilated would be up for elimination, adding that no matter what the teams do, he ALWAYS knew where they were and that he would ALWAYS find them.
Challenge[]
Every contestant immediately starts running away while Iced Coffee screams. Meatball apologizes to his team for not helping in the last challenge, and vows to give them a helping hand. Squirt Gun asked if he had any plans. Meatball asks if anyone has a shovel, however, Oils Paint says nobody on the team has one. Meatball figures that they would need the "next best thing", grabbing Eject and using him to create a huge tunnel into the ground. He orders his team to get inside, telling Do to cover up the hole to keep them hidden. Do does as told, before realizing he was trapped on the surface. Despite this, he was thankful he was able to keep his team safe, and the rest of Happy Meatball lament Do's sacrifice. Animatic approaches Do, shortly before ripping him into shreds. Red Sticky Hand guides his team to a large pile of rubble to hide in. Doorframe tries to get in as well, but Peppermint disallows it; he tells Doorframe he can't join them due to being eliminated. Doorframe tells him he doesn't want to die, with Peppermint telling him to grow up in response. Mockingly, he gives Doorframe the idea to go eat paint off of a wall. Doorframe, not realizing the task would serve the team no purpose, asks if it would help, to which Peppermint hesitantly says "Sure, buddy!". After Doorframe leaves, Peppermint realizes that Eject was gone. Jej jokes that they did not send Eject to gyattville. Elsewhere, Eject declares that his team had abandoned him, and decides to go on a last-ditch effort to prevent his untimely death by Animatic.
Members of DIET run past Do's mutilated body, with Crazy Food and Nonagon staying behind due to not being able to catch up. Eject grabs onto Doorstopper and SPAS-12, much to the former's shock and the latter's delight. Doorstopper and Eject get into an argument, and Eject is ultimately killed by unknown means. Eject's glitched corpse is found by Shoe, who wonders about the tragic irony of their death. Popcorn, after hearing Shoe question about Eject, wonders what the large amount of blue stuff that Shoe had been trailing since the challenge started was. Shattered Ornament realizes that Animatic could be tracking their very location with the blue. Animatic points to the group, saying "I SEE YOU!", proving him right. He rapidly runs to their location (as a lot of recommended characters are shown), preparing to attack a panicking Shoe. Popcorn jumps in front of him, attempting to hold Animatic back with her arms. She orders the rest of her team to run away as fast as possible. Exclamation Mark stays behind, introducing themself as Exclamation Mark (possibly to the viewers). Animatic bites on Popcorn's arm, which she finds disgusting. He asks her if she had been washing her hands 56 times a day for good hygiene. Popcorn says she doesn't know, which causes Animatic to mutilate her due to her answer "sucking". Animatic starts approaching Exclamation Mark, who realizes that they are now vulnerable with no teammates to help him. However, Exclamation Mark grabs Animatic's hands and punches him to the ground. The two get into a fight, which ends with Animatic rubbing Exclamation Mark's arm to the point it catches fire. Animatic does a bow with a magic hat to the audience, as Exclamation Mark burns to a crisp. She notices Clay Brick smiling next to him and commends him.
Acid creates a ring of salt to protect the team, while Juice Box asks Acid how that would help in the challenge. Acid believes that he was a genius with his plan, but Chocolate Milk Carton believes they would all be dead if that was his best plan. Buddy Cut Boy arrives, which confuses Nacho due to him not being on their team. Buddy Cut Boy alerts them all that "ANIMATIC IS APPROACHING AT LIGHTSPEEDS". As Acid loses his guard, after Buddy Cut Boy’s first words, Animatic (using his arms as wings), swoops down and takes Acid into the sunset, as Buddy Cut Boy giggles at his misfortune, before screaming as Animatic takes him with them. Sippy comments on how she likes sunsets. Landscape says that also like sunsets, although being very from their location. Landscape lays on their back, and asks Nonagon if they had every realized how beautiful the world was, and that there might be a time where they weren't there anymore, and that they should realize how good they have it. Nonagon tears up, acknowledging the value of their lives. Animatic appears in front of both of them for a few seconds before killing them almost immediately. Bioluminescenty wonders why they feel happy, considering the disturbingly terrifying events that were occurring. Cane's Cup figures it was because they were blue. Other contestants comment on their blueness, including Bowling Ball, despite not being blue. Golden Apple criticizes him and calls him a pest, or a bumblebee nest. Hives repeats the words "bumblebee nest". Pea asks if that was his full legal name. Cane's Cup says that his full name was "Cane M Cupperton", and Cheez-It reveals his full credit card number (8830 3821 9382 2813). Share says that everyone should share their private information, but is shut up by Pea. Pea questions why Cheez-It was even there, and he explains that his team's plan involved everybody splitting up. Pea tells him to go away, and Cheez-It instead wonders what Slop was up to. On top of a cliff, Slop is seen dancing. Using his powers, Mushroom teleports Cheez-It to Nebula Void, who was in space with School ID. Crazy Food is also teleported, who Nebula Void realizes had been teleported by Mushroom's dark magic. Crazy Food is teleported back to the ground right next to Animatic, who tells her to look at his cute boots and mouth. Animatic then lunges at her and kills her.
Bob-omb tells his team that he and Eyepatch had figured out a plan to save their team. He starts drawing the plan on a whiteboard with a marker, telling them to imagine a blue line as Animatic. Golden Apple tells him he wouldn't due to not having an imagination. Bob-Omb gets offended, throwing the whiteboard and marker which hit Animatic, alerting him to their position. Tomater asks why the whiteboard didn't hit him, to which Bob-omb answers that Tomater has a problem. Sticky suggests they do something or they’ll all be toast. Animatic takes it literally and sneaks up on Sticky to turn them into a piece of toast, and begins to brutalize the rest of Happy Meatbill one by one. Bowling Ball watches the events unfold, and tries to throw himself at Animatic to protect his friends. However, Animatic effortlessly catches Bowling Ball and drops him, which breaks him into two. Yoshi Egg sticks her tongue out to try to reason with Animatic, who says that that party trick wouldn't work. He then cooks Yoshi Egg's insides and eats them. Animatic announces to the remaining contestants that Happy Meatbill had been entirely exterminated, which meant that their team was up for elimination. He also adds that due to only one team being left, he wouldn't hold back on the killing anymore. Everybody on Grant Swag (except for Notepad) gets inside of Acid's salt circle, hoping that it would save them. In Happy Meatball's hole, B Block starts getting a "mischievous feeling", getting the urge to tell Animatic that they were all inside of the hole. Oils Paint tries to hold her back from running to the surface. B Block notices a cute bush before getting pulled back by Meatball into the hole. Dioptase finds the cute bush, which makes her happy due to it being able to hide her. Weathery gets upset due to the rest of them not being able to fit in the bush, and starts crying. Doorstopper comforts them, telling them that not finding a hiding spot didn't mean they would be killed off.
Animatic arrives at the location with his pair of wings. B Block manages to get out and yell to him that his team was in the hole. Dioptase's bush is revealed to be Bush in a Pot, who had been hiding for 8 hours. Tea figures it was best if their team accepted their fate, rather than run from it, saying that "We can delay the inevitable, but that does not change the fact that it was inevitable to begin with." Dioptase quickly accepts her idea and tells Animatic to destroy her. Animatic recalls that one team had lost a member, and another wasn't trapped in a hole. Clay Brick suggests that one contestant should switch teams to make them equal. Animatic tells Clay Brick he really gets him, before killing him by leaning on him. Animatic is unsure of which team he wants to pick to exterminate, while he kills Share, Hive, and Mushroom. Demon Core is shocked at how easily he is able to kill people. Still wondering, Animatic then grabs Notepad and slams him against a brick wall, and rips Printer's paper face in half while wondering if he should get rid of DIET or Happy Meatball. Animatic claims that having both Happy Meatball and Happy Meatbill up for elimination would be redundant, but that DIET is "So smile-tastic". Season 17 suggests that the viewers should decide, and creates his own voting screen between Happy Meatball and DIET. Animatic emerges from Landscape and kills Season 17, which Season 17 claims is because Animatic is jealous. Animatic decides instead to get rid of BOTH teams, and holds out two large human hands to grab them all. Meatball and Oils Paint try to convince B Block to get back inside of the hole, but she doesn't listen. Animatic crushes both of the teams (and Bush in a Pot) in his hands, and then pronounces DIET to be up for elimination alongside Happy Meatbill. Animatic tells his words "Team DIET is up for elimination" to fly, which they respond with "ok".
After Challenge[]
The words fly into Minidisky's ear. All of the other remaining contestants realize that they were safe, with jej calling his team "the GOATs" for surviving. Chocolate Milk Carton revives all of the dead contestants. Weathery flies away, upset with Doorstopper due to their statement about not dying being false. Rainbow Assortment asks Animatic if he was still caffeinated, and he admits that he had not been caffeinated for several hours and it was just part of the challenge. Doorframe attempts to run away but is stopped by Animatic, who says he was eliminated. Doorframe is sucked into a large white rectangle, which continues to visually destruct him until it vanishes. The words "save Doorframe" echo through Red Sticky Hand as he watches the events unfold, leading him to fall onto the ground in disappointment. Meatball wonders how Happy Meatball ended up safe, due to them getting crushed. Inside of the hole, it reveals that Flas'j-h Light and Squirt Gun have still been in the hole and survived, and they high five for their team's success.
End Scene[]
Later, Popcorn finds Minidisky, who is happy to see her. She shows them a grain of salt she found on the ground. Minidisky eats it, disliking it due to tasting bland. The two then go look for a better one offscreen.

They only lost Buddy Cut Boy, due to him failing to escape from Animatic after the latter took Acid, and Clay Brick, who approached Animatic while he was on a killing spree. |

They start off not having a strategy, due to Acid's flimsy strategy of using a salt circle. Humorously enough, everyone who decides to stay inside the salt circle stayed safe until the challenge is over, with the casualties being Acid (took by Animatic to the distant skies), Notepad (smashed by Animatic into Garden Wall), and Bush in a Pot (who stayed away from the team by hiding as a bush, only to get killed after revealing themselves alongside most of Happy Meatball and the remaining members of DIET). |

The team decides to make a plan to stop Animatic, but due to a conflict between Bob-Omb and Golden Apple, the former threw his whiteboard and marker, the latter which hit Animatic and giving him a signal of where they are. Ultimately, Animatic finds them and kills them all one by one in ridiculous, violent, and abrupt ways. Bowling Ball was the only one to put up a fight against Animatic, but his plan to charge at him was quickly thwarted. Continuity Errors[]
- During The Scene with all The Contestants being shocked Flash Light’s sticky note is gone.
- Doorframe appears inside Happy Meatball's hiding spot despite the entrance being sealed off by Do.
- Chocolate Milk Carton appears within Acid's salt ring after the challenge, despite being shown to have left to recover the dead contestants.
- Bob-omb tells Eyepatch that dying in an explosion is way cooler than being killed by Animatic. Eyepatch wasn’t alive before the explosion last episode, as he died from attempting to devour his team's M
- In 11:24, it shows that Cane's Cup has a straw despite him losing his straw in M Is For Magic.
Trivia[]
- This episode has the most deaths so far, having over 30 contestants perished.
- This episode is the second time the challenge is to not die, first time was in Suckers For Seeds.
- Golden Apple has Acid's mixer shoved in its head until he was killed and revived.
- Eject was the only contestant killed in this episode by someone other than Animatic, that being Doorstopper. Though it's possible Doorstopper didn't kill Eject and only left them to die by Animatic.
- Upon paying close attention, Do is the only contestant killed by Animatic while still being caffeinated during the challenge, as afterward, Animatic looks more on-model, less hostile, and acts less erratic.
- The release gap between this episode and the first episode is 7 weeks and 4 days.
- GreenyGuy confirmed the disclaimer at the start of the episode took somewhat inspiration from the warning screen from Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator.
- Object Fool and Happy Meatbill are the only teams whose perished members all die consecutively without a different member dying in between deaths.
- In a weird case of irony, benjamin went from being last place in the last challenge to being the best performing team in this episode's challenge, only losing one member (⏏️).
- Doorframe reuses his "No... NO..." from Sucker For Seeds when Eucerin attaches him to a door.
- The song that Animatic sings after screaming at Season 17 is "dumb dumb" by mazie.
- Nonagon, TOMATER and Bioluminescenty are the only contestants that smile when Animatic announces the challenge
- When the challenge was over, the only surviving characters were Bioluminescenty, Cane's Cup,Cheez-It, Chocolate Milk Carton, Danger Sign, Demon Core. DON'T, Eggnog Jr. Flas'j;h light, Iced Coffee, Jej, MiniDisky, Nacho, Nebula Void, Pancake Batter, Pea, Peppermint, Raid, Red Sticky Hand, School ID, Shattered Ornament, Shifty.
