— Bowling Ball, to Shattered Ornament, "M Is For Magic"
|
Bowling Ball is a male character in Animatic Battle. He was one of 56 eligible characters able to debut in Object Fool, but failed to do so with only 3 votes, tying with Clay Brick. He is currently competing in Animatic Battle with his team, Happy Meatbill.
Appearance[]
Bowling Ball is a red bowling ball, with three holes at the top, used to grip the ball.
Changes[]
Object Fool[]
- He is a crudely reddish orange colored bowling ball with shading.
- His holes are larger and closer together.
Animatic Battle[]
- He is now less crudely drawn and now a perfect circle. He is also more pink in colour.
- His holes are also much smaller and further apart.
Personality[]
Bowling Ball could also be qualified as a heroic type as seen in both Object Fool 8 and Animatic Battle 1; however, in the later episode, it is also shown that he has somewhat of an ego who doesn't like being viewed as inferior or incapable, which damages his self-perception of being tough and heroic. In other words, he is known for having “Main Character Syndrome”, meaning that he views himself as a protagonist.
Despite this, it is displayed in Animatic Battle 2, he has a strong sense of justice yet is slightly insecure, as he hesitates before attacking Animatic but firmly reassures himself that "he needs to protect his friends". On the other hand, he also displays a bit of awkwardness in social situations, specifically during the elimination ceremony in Seeds For Suckers, where he attempts to crack a joke only to be met with silence from Bob-Omb and Eyepatch (and a look of disdain from Gapple).

Object Fool[]
Bowling Ball first appears in episode "It Was Dub Who Joined", along with 55 other debuters who were eligible to join Object Fool. He can be seen walking while saying hello to the viewers, but falls into a hole that he made while walking. He later made his second appearance in "It Took Four Weeks To Rename This". In that episode, Eucerin holds onto Bowling Ball and rolls him to the debuters to spread them out. Unfortunately, Bowling Ball failed to debut in the show, as he only received 3 votes, tying with Clay Brick. After he was flung, he wasn't thrown into the air and instead made a giant hole and fell into it due to his heavy weight.
He was later seen in the Elimination Area where he was used to prevent DON'T from evolving by remaining on some sort of portal. Bowling Ball questions Eyepatch about his decision to stay put, with Eyepatch explaining that he is doing a favor for everyone at the site, by "acting like a band-aid" for DON'T. Bowling Ball accepts his new role within the group, and has spent the rest of the episode in the center of DON'T. However, he was not seen until "So Offended" for a brief moment.
When Tiery and Cane's Cup were up for voting to win Object Fool, quick frames of Animatic's backstory were played on the screen. In one of the quick frames, there are two clips where Animatic tried to escape from Don't, but his exit was blocked by Bowling Ball, referencing the stinger and the ending of the episode "It Took Four Weeks To Rename This".
In the episode "Negative Nancy", he was not seen walking with the rest of the other failed debuters and eliminated contestants. But after everyone else sat on the bleachers to watch the finale, Bowling Ball suddenly falls from the sky and makes his unforeseen cameo. Cheez-It questions where Bowling Ball was. According to Bowling Ball, when he was stayed put onto Don't, he was asleep, but Don't unexpectedly shoved Bowling Ball inside of him and consumed. However, he was interrupted by Meatball, when he told him that nobody, especially him, cared about what happened to him. It's most likely to assume that situation happened somewhere shortly after the episode "It Took Four Weeks To Rename This" or in "Sucker For Seeds" off screen.
Animatic Battle[]
M Is For Magic[]
Bowling Ball makes his first debut in Animatic Battle with a triumphant fanfare after Shattered Ornament approaches Bouquet. He makes his dramatic entrance believing that somebody called him for help and unsuccessfully attempts to free Bouquet from the Baby Stupid Jail, getting trapped inside as well. Upon her arrival into the BSJ, Bowling Ball irritatedly explains to Sticky where she is. Afterwards, Bowling Ball complains about Red Sticky Hand's departure after Bouquet's plea for help, claiming "He'll never come back!". Later on, when Bob-Omb joins the crew in the Baby Stupid Jail, he comments on how "cramped spaces make him antsy". He begins to hyperventilate when SPAS-12 also gets trapped for "aggravated assault", making the number of prisoners rise to 6. He dies from Bob-Omb's explosion along with the 5 others and Cane's Cup. He cheers for his freedom upon being recovered.
Upon the formation of the teams, Bowling Ball invites Bouquet, Golden Apple and Sticky to form a team together as "fellow prisoners of the flawful prison". Later on, he shows his drawing of "MeatBill" to his other team members, which Eyepatch compliments, naming the team Happy Meatbill. During the challenge, Bowling Ball sprints over to the , confidently volunteering to "take that letter down" despite Bouquet yelling after him not to. He leaps onto the and proceeds to press it down, shoving it far underground. The scene then cuts to Bowling Ball's corpse (which his body was sliced into halves) next to the .
Caffeination Day[]
He is recovered by Animatic from the previous episode only to get killed by him almost immediately. Thankfully, Shifty recovers him again after Animatic's rampage. Bowling Ball replies to the chain of "And me!" with his iconic fanfare. Later on, Bowling Ball replies to another chain of "And I'm blue too!" - with another fanfare - only to be disappointed when Golden Apple tells him he, in fact, is not blue, and calls him a pest. Afterwards, when Animatic finds his team, he watches in horror as Animatic kills all his teammates one by one. He then gains the determination to protect his friends, and charges at Animatic - yet again with his iconic fanfare. He is unsuccessful. Animatic catches him and drops him onto the ground, breaking and killing him. At the end of the challenge, he cheers upon being recovered. However, he and his team were up for elimination in that episode.
Seeds For Suckers[]
He is initially seen when he cuts into Eyepatch and Bob-Omb’s conversation by attempting to crack a joke which is not well received between the two - and GApple, who gives him a look of disdain. He is shown to be taken aback Animatic's sudden cut-in and quickly dismisses it by telling them he wasn't talking to them. During the elimination, he is able to dodge Exclamation Mark's ashes being thrown at him, rolling onto his head, as his vote count is announced. However, this is futile, as the ashes still end up being thrown in his face as TOMATER's vote count is read. After the elimination, he is shown to be rolling down the stairs and away from the elimination area in the background as Animatic sings. Later on, he is standing by, most likely providing comfort to a heartbroken Bob-Omb. Not very long after, BB is then killed by Doorstopper along with the rest of his team (excluding Yoshi Egg).
